Survey Part 2: The Search for Compost Pits, feat. "The Tabay Hunters"

Solid Waste Management and Unsanitary Water are two of the main problems of the barangay. In order to assess the problem, the team conducted a house-to-house survey and to look for the water sources. Hiking up steep mountains and going down slippery slopes, the surveyors found unprotected springs which the people utilized for their drinking water. Part of the problem was the backyard hog-raising and improper disposal of garbage.

On January 25, 2019, the team conducted an occular inspection in coordination with the barangay council and Mr. Richard Loredo, RN, the Municipal Sanitary Inspector. A number of unsanitary toilets and improper hog-raising methods were found, and the data was presented to the barangay council.

Lunch time the Barangay Chairman, Hon. Victorina Tuse; SK Chairman, Hon. Mark John Sarita; and Mr, Richard Loredo, RN, Municipal Sanitary Inspector.

Up and up we go, searching for the water sources.
