It has been almost a year since the world was brought to a standstill by the Coronavirus Pandemic. Face-to-face communication has been limited, with everyone practicing social distancing to be safe. Travels have also been scarce.
But as Filipinos, our resiliency knows no bounds – Life must go on, and so our Community Health Plans have not been forgotten. Despite the distance between the students here in Zamboanga and our beloved community in Brgy. New Dapitan, Tampilisan, Zamboanga del Norte, the connection was never broken. Communication via videocalls, chats, and text messages allowed us to remain connected with the key persons in our community.
We’re doing our best to contribute thru simple means, such as health education, with the goal to empower our community throughout these tough times. Collaborative efforts have been made to allow us to be able to implement our CHPs, with the never-ending support of our barangay officials. The success of our CHPs are the success of our community people!
