Winner ta sa W.in.S!

Last January 30, the Team conducted a health teaching for the teacher of the New Dapitan National High School and New Dapitan Elementary School. They were lectured on the importance of hygiene and toilet etiquette. The team also informed the teachers about WiNS – W.A.S.H (Water, Sanitation, Hygiene) in Schools, a school-based program of the Department of Education that promotes s correct hygiene and sanitation practices through hygiene and sanitation education and the provision of standards for safe water supply and appropriate sanitation facilities. Headed by Kim Faye Quimson, the project head for Solid Waste Management, and Fatima Deen Damlani, the project head for Safe Water, the teachers were told the importance of hygiene and the students’ access to safe water. They checked with the teachers on how to provide the students with hygiene stations and safe water.
