Health education is one of the key strategies in allowing the community to be aware of their current health status and increase their knowledge for them to come up with their own sustainable solution. Held June 4 and 8,2019, Team New Dapitan headed by their team leader Ms. Kim Faye Quimson in coordination with Mr. Braulio Wines,New Dapitan Elementary School principal; Mr. Renato Paculba, New Dapitan National High School principal; and the Department of education headed by the Ms. Jessica Napigkit, district nurse, conducted a one (1) day activity titled EPP: Edukasyong Pankalusugan at Pankapaligiran with the goal of reinforcing the students’ knowledge on proper solid waste management, water sanitation and hypertension through lecture and video presentation. The students were also given the opportunity to express what they have learned through drawings and reflection by means of public speaking. The Highschool students, on the other hand, were evaluated through written pre- and post-test.

The activity was fulfilling. At the same time, the students doctors gain a new perspective on how to improve their strategies in imparting the important facts on health and how it is affected by the environment.
